ABOUT

Will Wyant is a composer, cellist, teacher/clinician, and conductor, from San Antonio, Texas who specializes in writing classically-inspired chamber and concert music with funk, rock, and jazz influences.

Will began composing at the age of 14, and music has been an indelible part of his life ever since. Will has written and recorded backing tracks for studio albums with Haydn Vitera, Jorge Gallegos, and Manny Blu, composed original music for middle and high school orchestras, and has arranged six songs for Mark Wood's Electrify Your Symphony concert tours.

As a cellist, he is an accomplished improvisor and enjoys playing a variety of genres as well as the beloved songs from the classical repertoire.

With his experience as a studio musician with the Berklee SSP, he has also honed his skills in sight reading, following producer instructions, and stepping in at the last minute when needed.

In 2021, Will graduated from Berklee College of Music in Boston with a degree in Composition and a minor in Contemporary Conducting.

Since graduating, he has found his love for working with middle and high school orchestra students. Will has been a clinician for Northside ISD since 2023 and a substitute for fine arts classes since 2025.

He is currently in the Region 20 TOPP program for his alternative certification in teaching and has passed the TExES Music EC-12 exam and is also training with Mark Wood to be a clinician for Electrify Your Symphony.

Will is excited to embark on this new chapter of his career.
